Fathom built genuine affection as a simple, reliable meeting recorder, and the underlying tool is solid. My reservation is not about quality — it is about the availability of better-governed alternatives. Teams Premium does the job within an architecture that is appropriate for professional services, and for individual use Granola is more capable and better integrated. As a team deployment for client-facing work in an agency context, I would choose Teams Premium. If you are using Fathom for personal notes with no client data involved, it continues to work well — but I would not expand its use in a professional services team.
