Zapier's advantage is ubiquity and simplicity: more integrations than anything else, the fastest path from 'I want to connect these two tools' to a working automation. For quick workflow experiments it remains the default. The limitation is cost at scale — the pricing model penalises volume in a way that makes serious operational automation expensive. At that point, Make or n8n are more economical. But for early automation work and simple integrations, the time-to-working-workflow advantage is real.
