Co-Pilot Basic

The argument for Copilot Basic is largely an infrastructure argument: it sits inside Microsoft 365 where most agency teams already spend the majority of their working day, and it does not require any additional security architecture beyond what is already in place. For summarising long email threads, drafting basic content, and automating repetitive M365 tasks, it is useful and low-friction. The honest capability assessment is that the ceiling is lower than Claude or ChatGPT for complex work — it is a productivity layer, not a thinking partner. Where I find it most valuable is for people who are not going to seek out a standalone LLM but who will use AI assistance if it is already built into the tools they have open all day. Meeting that population where they are has real organisational value even if the capability ceiling is modest.
